.availability.

I can tell you all have spring fever, because my inbox has been flooded with emails this week! It's safe to say I've never booked more sessions than I have in the past week! That being said, April is completely booked. May has TWO spots left. Yes, you heard me right - I am officially booking for May. February has been booked (and overbooked) for awhile now...and March has a few spots open still. March is a great month for newborns as there is a huge baby boom right now, and it's too cold to go outside anyway. See the sidebar for a link to my latest newborn special - it's a doozie!

Thank you all for the amazing response this week - my heart is overflowing with gratitude. I do believe I have the greatest clients ever. :)

Much love,

S

.small is in.

*keep reading for an incredible newborn offer...probably the biggest special I'll run all year for newborns!*

First things first, though! I am SOOOOO stinkin excited to announce these newest products and display ideas!
Here's the scoop: Small prints are in. But what do you do with all those wallets, 5x7s and 8x10s? Think modern, clean lines...a large white matt and simple black frame. It's classic, and works in any space. The best part is that the print is digitally matted for you (by yours truly of course), so no custom matting needed. Just drop it in a frame and you're all set :) (Contact me for pricing info)

See what I've whipped up for you...{click on each image to see it best}

This one is definiltey my favorite. Wallet sized prints housed in simple 8x10 frames, with a digital white matt. Something very different and certainly eye catching. I've already found the perfect spot for this display in my house! Plus, anthropologie makes gorgeous hardware to hang them from. I heart anthropologie :)

This is perfect for those of you that don't want a larger-than-life sized portrait of yourself in your living room (like I have, lol) You can still use up that big blank wall without having an enormous image of your child peering over you while you watch tv. I also love the idea of making this a canvas wrap!

It's hip to be square. Square is very "in" right now, and this arrangement is perfect for combining images of siblings into a simple, modern arrangement that is sure to get noticed.

and last but not least...

Eight 8x8 frames filled with mini portraits of your little one. I love the idea of this for a nursery, but it would also be perfect for any kid's room. Mix & match your child's name or intials with black and white images for a cohesive grouping.
Colors and letters are completely customizable, so why not match them to your child's bedding/room decor?

Now for the kicker: The first person to book (set a date and pay deposit) a Newborn Collection for March will receive a complimentary Creative Baby arrangement! {valued at $200} I know - it's crazy, but I am so excited to make one of these arrangements for someone, and I already have a ridiculous amount of pictures on my walls as it is...so....lucky you!
Just send me an email if in March you will have a newborn under the age of 2 weeks and once I receive your deposit, the deal is all yours!

The fine print:
Limit to one new client. Session must take place in March, and baby must be under 2 weeks of age at time of session. Frames not included.

Modeling Opportunity *WINNERS ANNOUNCED*

*UPDATE*
Congrats to H, K, and baby C on being chosen as my models for Friday! I received 20 applicants in just 3 days! I have to say it was SUCH a hard decision...I even enlisted the help of another photographer, as well as my husband. The winner's momma s have been contacted. Thank you to everyone who entered! I hope to see all your kids from behind the lens later this year!
(btw, April has ONE spot left, and May has TWO.)

I am looking for a few children for a commercial shoot on February 8th. These will be full length sessions styled by me and taken here in Bloomington. There will be no session fee, and participants will be presented with a beautiful gift from their session.

Your child does not need to be a professional model or an aspiring one. The only requirement is that you sign a model release for the images to be used in marketing and online by Summer Knobloch Photography.

I will be taking on up to 3 children with different requirements that will be posted below. If you are interested, please send me an email at summer@summerknoblochphotography.com with a snapshot of your child, a short description about them, and your location and contact information. Please send only one email if you are submitting for more than one category, and state your intentions in the email. Put the gender and age of your child(ren) in the subject.

The Categories:

1. Looking for a girl between the ages of 3 and 6. SPOT FILLED

2. Looking for a boy between the ages of 3 and 6. SPOT FILLED

3. Looking for a fresh newborn, under 3 weeks of age. SPOT FILLED

Contact me as soon as possible to ensure your entry is received. Deadline for entries is Wednesday, February 6th; however final decisions may be made prior, depending on reponse. I will try to give 48 hours notice if the deadline will be sooner.
Models must be available the entire day of Friday, February 8th. Once winners are selected, I will contact you and we can arrange a suitable time for your child's schedule.

FAQs:

Q. What does "styled by me" mean?

A. I will be choosing and purchasing clothing for models to wear at the session. This doesn't mean you cannot bring your own outfit for your child; however final clothing decisions will be made by me.

Q, Who can enter?

A. Anyone. Family, friends, past clients, photographer's children, and complete strangers! Anyone is welcome to enter.

.belly2baby.

I mentioned last week that I was going to be adding something to the Beginning Collection (maternity+newborn) that you were going to just flip over....well here it is!

Introducing the new Belly2Baby softcover flip book! Start at the beginning to see your best maternity images, then (the super cool part!), flip the book over and see the best newborn images! I am so excited to offer this to my maternity + newborn clients.

A few sample pages to tease you even more....

Remember - if you are expecting, contact me as soon as possible with your due date. Maternity sessions are best done between 28-34 weeks, and I am currently booking a few months in advance. I have so many fun ideas for my maternity clients this year!

Take advantage of the dreary weather today and curl up with a good book. I personally will be reading something OTHER than Goodnight Moon and Bob the Builder :)

i love this merlot courdroy hat!

this dress is so stinkin cute...and i love how versatile it is.

.i'm addicted to etsy.

not only can you find the cutest, most unique items...but i love knowing that i'm supporting other small business owners. many of them are moms working from home just like me...which i think is so cool :)

i can't remember how i stumbled across this little store on etsy, but oh my goodness....i'm in love! i am such a sucker for anything personalized as it is...and then you throw in the modern design and clean lines...and i'm sold!

here are just a few of my favorite things from Sarah & Abraham:

these are their print trios. i love the bird design, but there are several others as well. so sweet and playful. i can't wait to move charlotte into her "big girl" room just so i can buy these for it :)

these gift tags are another favorite of mine. you can get them personalized (like below), or get them with adorable designs printed right on them. i can think of a hundred uses for these already!
